Jaser Ali is an Investment Officer at Agents for Impact GmbH, where he supports debt investments in financial institutions and inclusive finance providers across South Asia and other emerging markets. He works across deal sourcing, underwriting, financial modeling, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring, integrating ESG and impact considerations into investment decisions across financial inclusion and climate-focused sectors.
Jaser’s professional experience spans microfinance, impact investing, and impact consulting, with expertise across investment management, blended finance, corporate strategy, portfolio risk management, and catalytic finance. He brings a strong blend of technical, financial, and strategic capabilities to advance the mission of expanding equitable access to finance and opportunity.
Prior to joining, he worked with an impact investing asset manager where he led pipeline development, deal execution, and portfolio oversight for debt investments in financial institutions and SMEs across financial inclusion, climate finance, AgTech, edufinance, and WASH. His approach combines rigorous credit analysis with impact-focused underwriting, while strengthening portfolio resilience through structured risk frameworks, early warning systems, and proactive performance monitoring. He also designed blended finance and risk-sharing structures to mobilize capital across India and Africa.
He was also instrumental in establishing a first-time impact-focused private equity fund targeting fintech and financial inclusion, supporting the development of the impact thesis, due diligence strategy, financial models, pipeline building, fundraising, and overall operational setup.
Jaser holds a postgraduate diploma in Development Management from the Indian Institute of Forest Management and a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from the University of Delhi. He has completed professional certifications with Moody’s Analytics and CRISIL Ltd and is pursuing the CFA Program.
