Andrii Tiurenkov

Investments Director , Germany

Andrii Tiurenkov joined Agents for Impact in 2020 to build the debt investment function from the ground up – designing the full-cycle investment process and growing it to over USD 500 million disbursed across 80+ transactions, with zero write-offs to date.

His approach to debt finance integrates sustainability analysis, social performance, and ESG screening directly into every investment decision. The portfolio focuses on financial institutions in emerging and frontier markets with a strong commitment to inclusive finance — microfinance, agrifinance, and MSME lending, among others. His credit and risk discipline – full-cycle underwriting, structuring, and active portfolio monitoring – underpins the zero-write-off track record. As a Qualified Auditor on the Client Protection Standards (CERISE & SPTF), he applies responsible-finance practice across the portfolio.

He works closely with the fund’s portfolio management and with financial institutions to structure and execute partnerships and leads the team that originates and manages them. His aim is for transparent, diligent investment processes to build the long-term lending relationships that let a portfolio grow on a stable base rather than constantly turn over.

Andrii holds a master’s in International Microfinance from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a master’s in management from West Ukrainian National University and is certified in Sustainability and Climate Risk (GARP SCR) and risk management (Frankfurt School). He has completed executive education at Harvard, Columbia, Yale, and Oxford.
