Andrii Tiurenkov is a senior investment professional with over 20 years of experience in the financial sector. He currently serves as Director of Debt Investments at Agents for Impact GmbH, a Frankfurt-based impact investing firm committed to advancing financial inclusion and sustainable development in frontier and emerging markets.

He leads the firm’s debt investment strategy, overseeing the full lifecycle of transactions — from origination and structuring to execution and monitoring. Under his leadership, the team has built a robust investment framework from the ground up, enabling the successful deployment of over USD 400 million across more than 70 transactions with financial institutions in developing markets over the past five years. Remarkably, the portfolio has maintained an outstanding credit profile with zero restructurings, reflecting Andrii’s disciplined approach to risk management.

His focus spans microfinance, rural finance, and SME finance, with a strong alignment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He also integrates social performance management into the investment process, ensuring that financial returns are matched by measurable social impact.

Andrii holds a Master’s degree in International Microfinance (2015) from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a Master’s in Management (2004) from the West Ukrainian National University. He is a Certified Expert in Risk Management (CERM) and Certified Expert in SME Finance (CESME) from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, and also holds credentials in Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR) and Financial Risk and Regulation (FRR) from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). These certifications complement his practical expertise with a strong foundation in financial risk, sustainable investing, and SME-focused finance. 

In addition, Andrii has completed executive education at leading global institutions — including Saïd Business School, University of Oxford (Oxford Executive Leadership Programme, 2021), Harvard Business School (Strategic Leadership in Financial Inclusion with ACCION, 2025), and the Yale School of Management (Sustainable Finance and Investment, 2022).
