Andrii Tiurenkov is the Director of Debt Investments at Agents for Impact GmbH, where he leads the firm’s investment strategy for inclusive and sustainable finance across frontier and emerging markets.

Since joining in 2020, he has architected, built, and scaled the company’s debt investment function from the ground up — designing the full-cycle investment process and enabling the firm to disburse over USD 500 million across 80+ transactions.

His disciplined approach to credit integrates SPI-based social performance analysis, ESG risk screening, and sustainability scoring directly into investment decision-making.

Focused on microfinance, agrifinance, and SME lending, his work aims to balance financial performance with measurable impact. A key result is a portfolio with zero write offs to date, reflecting strong underwriting and active stewardship. He is also a Qualified Auditor on Client Protection Standards (CERISE & SPTF), promoting responsible finance across the portfolio.

Beyond transactions, Andrii manages a high-performing investment team and works closely with investors, co-lenders, DFIs, and financial institutions to structure and execute partnerships. He is recognized for building efficient, transparent processes and fostering the long-term, trust-based relationships essential for sustainable growth.

Andrii holds two master’s degrees and professional certifications in finance and risk management from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and GARP. He has completed executive education at Harvard Business School, the Yale School of Management, and the University of Oxford.
