Andrii Tiurenkov is a senior investment professional with over 20 years of experience in the financial sector. Since 2020, he has served as Director of Debt Investments at Agents for Impact GmbH, a Frankfurt-based impact investing firm focused on financial inclusion and sustainable development in frontier and emerging markets.

He leads the firm’s debt investment strategy, overseeing the full lifecycle of transactions — from origination and structuring to execution and monitoring. Under his leadership, AfI has built strong investment momentum, disbursing over EUR 400 million to financial institutions across more than 70 transactions in 18 countries. Remarkably, the portfolio has maintained an outstanding credit profile year after year, reflecting strong risk discipline and a pragmatic approach to credit management.

Since joining AfI, Andrii has built the investment process from the ground up — integrating financial due diligence tools with SPI-based social performance analysis, ESG risk screening, and sustainability scoring. He also established structured investment operations to ensure smooth, transparent, and well-documented execution across all transactions.

Andrii holds a Master’s degree in International Microfinance from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2015) and a Master in Management from the West Ukrainian National University (2004). He is a Certified Expert in Risk Management (2016) and Certified Expert in SME Finance (2013) from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.

He has also successfully completed the rigorous programs and passed the exams offered by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP), earning certifications inFinancial Risk and Regulation (2016) and Sustainability and Climate Risk (2023).
