Abhinav Soni is SDG Rating Manager at Agents for Impact. He has been active in the microfinance and impact investment industry since 2016.

Prior to joining AfI in September 2022, Abhinav worked with a Switzerland-based Impact Investment Advisor and gained experience on an end-to-end deal along with playing an instrumental role in setting up an intermediary structure. He also worked in several consulting roles in his previous stints and helped several organizations in South and Southeast Asia to adopt international best practices.

Abhinav completed his MBA from Institute of Rural Management, Anand, a pioneer in the field of rural management and his B.tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. In both the institutes, Abhinav participated in several academic and cultural activities and was a part of Students’ Academic Committee during his MBA days.

Abhinav has always been passionate about impact investments and giving back to the society. He feels that capital is one of the biggest constraints holding back many societies and communities from prospering and thus, he will continue on this path to make investments accessible for people at bottom-of-pyramid.

Outside of work, Abhinav likes to maintain a holistic lifestyle and prefers to keep himself apprised of the recent developments. He believes in continuous learning and enjoys travelling as and when he can.
